Jose Mourinho saw red during Roma’s 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona and added a new potentially iconic gesture of protest to his Serie A career.
Inter fans still remember his ‘handcuffs’ after two players were sent off in a Serie A match during a 0-0 draw with Sampdoria in February 2010.
This time, Mourinho was protesting repeatedly during the 2-2 draw with Verona at the Stadio Olimpico, a game they had been losing 2-0 before teenage substitutes Cristian Volpato and Edoardo Bove clawed it back.

The referee lost patience with Mourinho after the Special One made a ‘telephone’ gesture with his hand.
Roma have protested against numerous referees this season, with Mourinho repeatedly hinting the club is ‘considered small’ in the eyes of those who are powerful.
Before leaving the touchline, Mourinho insisted on hugging Verona coach Igor Tudor first.
