Interesting that Microsoft would include a criticism of one of its own products. One of the Magic 8 Ball messages is: "Outlook not so good". In many ways, I agree.

Wow, None of the eggs i have tried have ever worked but this one did, and its so cool. Although i have to agree with someone else who said it gets a bit boring after a while.

There is nothing at all ironic about an egg which says something unflattering about the software or the company that makes it. Easter Eggs, almost by definition, are code which is hidden by individual coders in commercial software. It is not generally allowable by the manufacturer; people have been fired for it. So it makes perfect sense that an egg might make a cynical comment about a piece of software or its owner. After all, Outlook *isn't* so good--it's probably the best thing for email-communicated viruses since WinX.

That was fun, especially that magical sound it makes every time you push '8' button. Also 8-ball button gives you different saying every time you push it.

I brought up the Magic 8 Ball on my computer at work, on which I usually have the sound disengaged. The other day I turned the sound on (among other things, to hear the Adobe woofing-dog egg) and heard the spooky Magic 8 Ball noise for the first time! It was a real shock as I wasn't expecting it (luckily my boss didn't turn around).
