you can implement a solution that works properly if you want but I don't want to have this non-working solution anymore it takes lots of time and energy from me.
As mentioned before there is #7020.
Err - you only need to rollback those files or not select them when commiting. Unless you are using git via the CLI that should not be an issue (it is a single click in my IDE). This will also potentially break the localization (if we change UI code) of development versions.
What those CMake changes I have been ranting about are doing to me is multitudes worse.
